I’m Mathilde, therapeutic photographer and founder of Portraits Intimistes, based in Cergy-Pontoise. A specialist in portrait photography, I place the therapeutic dimension at the heart of every session: my work is not only to create a beautiful image, but to offer a safe space where a woman can lay down what she carries, see herself differently and begin a gentle reconciliation with her life story. My approach is informed by my own journey. After a violent breakup and a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, I used the camera as a tool to reclaim my body and my reflection. Those self-portraits were steps toward repair. They changed my practice: today I provide professional portraits that combine careful aesthetic quality with compassionate, trauma-informed support.
